MVP FITNESS 365

EAT. TRAIN. REST.

DAY 98 of 365

Average is the new great – or so I wished looking back at this week.

If I were honest with myself, I’d probably grade the past seven days with a solid “B” to ”B-”.

Nutrition

Well, it certainly wasn’t as bad as it could have been.  With my Mom visiting from across the country, we ate out quite a bit more than usual.  All of our meals at home, however, were 100% healthy.  And although I didn’t make it easy on myself while eating out, I didn’t entirely kill my progress either.  I made good choices where I could.

It was also Kara’s 4th birthday this past week, so I had cupcakes tempting me ALL WEEK (from multiple parties).  I held out until Friday afternoon, when everything went out the window for a few hours.  Other than that major slip, it was a decent week.

Exercise

Ehhhhh.  Weak?  I don’t know.

It feels like I didn’t push very much, but looking back, I lifted (intensely) twice, tried a new kettlebell cardio workout one night, played softball for 2 hours on Saturday night, and will end with intervals on the treadmill tonight.  Not bad in a week’s time, I guess, but not as I had scheduled it either.  I expect more.

Activity

Very decent.  We were out and about a lot with the girls.  At the birthday party I was jumping around the different bounce zone toys with the kids and definitely working up a sweat.  Softball was great last night, especially considering we won 28-2.  I was running quite a bit.

So another weigh-in tomorrow as the weeks continue to fly by.  Almost 100 days into my project, and I should close out my inaugural start with a loss of about 27 pounds overall.  Not overwhelming, but certainly making a big difference in my health, in the way my clothes fit, and in my appearance.  People have begun to notice.  That is always nice.
