Upper body confusion.
Despite the obvious fact that I am getting stronger in every lift, those same upper body muscles don’t seem to understand that I actually need to USE them once in a while.
I just came home from the gym after destroying everything above my waist, and I can’t seem to find the strength to lift my arms above my head. Yes, I love the shaky feeling after a good workout, even if it does make something as simple as shampooing my hair a colossal chore.
Nutrition rocked today. After a day off yesterday celebrating my 4 year old’s birthday, I rebounded from cupcakes to protein shakes. From Paradise Bakery to chicken breasts. I almost caved with the HUGE Rice Krispie Treats staring at me from the fridge every time I opened it, but I managed to defeat temptation just long enough till the kids got home.
The week moves on. I have intervals scheduled tomorrow, but I have wanted to get in some kettlebell work, so I may finally give that a try. Either way, I am sweating tomorrow.
